992 GT3 RS & E46 M3 visit the Oregon Auto Show

The Oregon International Auto Show didn't disappoint this year. With a wide variety of local builds, there was certainly lots of neat eye candy in the garage area of the show. One of our clients just took delivery of a 992 GT3 RS Weissach Package in Arctic Gray. They were kind enough to have it in our booth to display. It was, of course, a big hit! All of the young kids seem to know what a GT3 RS is—a good sign for the future of car enthusiasts.

Porsche's newest street-based race car has a 4.0-liter flat-six, rear-axle steering, and a swan-neck wing with active DRS. It looks fast, just standing still.

It was refreshing to see a handful of local high school STEM and Shop classes visit the Auto Show for a field trip. We need more local students learning about trade skills and how to get involved in the automotive / motorsports industry. We enjoyed presenting and showcasing our BMW M3 to them, highlighting some of the many modifications that have been made to it.

We also put hundreds of people into our BMW E46 M3, and many were surprised to hear it's a rental car. Our Arrive & Drive program caters to those who have the itch to go racing but don't have extensive wheel-to-wheel experience on track outside of HPDE events. Everyone starts somewhere, and there has to be a place to try racing before investing in a race car, truck, and trailer.
